Minutes of the Truck Advisory Board, 1959-1963 (2 in.). The Truck Advisory Board was established in 1959 to study the following factors in intrastate trucking: line haul costs; costs of equipment, wages and overhead; calculations of load factor statistics; evaluation of existing classifications of goods; and class rate scales. The meetings which these minutes record dealt with the setting up of committees to complete studies for a final report which was submitted in 1963. Arranged by year. Work papers of the Intrastate Trucking Study, 1959-1962 (1 in.). This series contains questionnaires, background reports, and other materials that were assembled for the Truck Advisory Board reports. Arranged as received. Reports, 1963 (2 in.). The reports completed by the Truck Advisory Board provided a restudy of Michigan's intrastate motor rate structure. The main topics include: basic rate policy; classification rate discrimination; accuracy of pricing certain weight brackets; and efficiency of freight terminals. Arranged as received.
